Serving is at the heart of who we are at Open Door. We aim to make a tangible difference in our community and state by serving families, supporting local organizations, and meeting needs in our community. Beautiful Feet
Through this seasonal event, we serve by providing brand new socks and shoes to children in our community, where we put Matthew 25 into action. As a church family we join together in donation and service to exemplify Christ’s love.
Backpack Block Party
In August, we welcome the community onto our campus for an evening of food and fun, as we provide backpacks, school supplies, and shoes to local families for the upcoming school year.
Big Creek Missions
Each year, we partner with Big Creek Missions in Leslie County, KY to share the love of Jesus with the wonderful people of eastern Kentucky through community service, kids’ camps, and construction projects.
Mary Rose Mission
Our church provides volunteers to the Mary Rose Mission, a local organization dedicated to providing spiritual and material assistance to those in need throughout Florence and the surrounding areas. Guided by the motto "To Love as God Loves," the Mission operates the first soup kitchen in Boone County, located at 272 Main Street.
Help Handed
As part of our commitment to serving others, we're partnering with Help Handed, which allows community members with practical needs to connect directly with our church members for volunteer support.
